Half human, half magical being, Dee Dee Vega emerged from the ashes of the streets as a denizen of the glamorous nightlife and gilded stages of New York City and Berlin. She is the lead vocalist of Amour Obscur and also makes her mad visions into art as a creative writer. When not on stage, she can be found jaunting around the Lower East Side with her tiny (and insane) dog Marcel Duchamp. Her interests include the art of lockpicking, whiskey, Dada art pranks, Coney Island, mind control and generally behaving like Henry Miller.
Matt "The Knife" Goldpaugh is an upright bass player, singer and artist bearing an uncanny resemblance to a young (less drunk, not so fat, shaven) Orson Welles. Matt has worked for the NYC Medical Examiner's Office as a forensic photographer, photographing hundreds of autopsies. He also plays upright bass and sings for The Arkhams, plays bass for The Dirty Teardrops, and also can be found performing on the streets and subways of NYC. Raised by a pack of wild English teachers, and immersed in art and literature throughout his life, one of his interests would have to be correcting (or at least drawing attention to) spelling and grammatical errors. Other interests include busking, art, sideshows, true crime, forensics, acupuncture, DIY, and Surrealism.
Matt Dallow was born in one of the coldest months of the year and has been spending his life trying to warm up. Between whiskey, women and standing too close to fire, he often moves so fast he appears as a blur that won't remember your name in the morning. He began his accordion career in 2002 out of pure laziness for stringing up a guitar and programming a keyboard. An anachronism within an anachronism, he's usually seen wearing stripes or the clothes of a Depression-era hobo. He currently also plays accordion with country-klezmer band, The Dirty Teardrops, electro-gypsy-punk band The Drunkard's Wife, as well as lends his accordion and theremin skills to whoever will listen. Matt Dallow's interests include accordion repair/modification, whiskey, DIY, catch phrases and one liners, cooking, outer space and electricity.
